Derek Trent

Starting in a small shop in Tahoe City, CA working on Jeeps and small fleets, Derek Trent is the lifeblood of Trent Fabrication and Trent Fab Racing. Since then, he has moved the shop 45 miles away to Sparks, NV where he now produces some of the best rock crawling / racing chassis currently on the market. His proven designs stand up to some of the hardest terrain thrown at them with little damage, and the occupants completely safe.

Derek is well-versed in the realm of rock crawling and long distance races; having competed in KOH, the VORRA series, Torchmate Stampede, XRRA, CalROCS, and more.

Derek loves to compete; that’s why he has added more races to the 2012 schedule. You’ll see him at the likes of TREC, Glen Helen, Rausch Creek, Cinco de Baja, and the Dirt Riot series.

Dave Schneider

Dave has been with the Trent Fab team since 2010, where he has brought us the inspiration to push ourselves even farther into the realm of long-distance racing. He brings with him, a racing pedigree, where he has taken the first place title eight times; four were consecutive in a series. From KOH, Vegas to Reno, Baja, Short Courses, etc.; he knows, not only what it takes to race, but also what it takes to win.

For the 2012 season, you will find him in the new Trent Fabrication “Top Shelf” chassis. You will see Dave competing in races such as KOH, Cinco de Baja, Rausch Creek, TREC, and Dirt Riot.

Mike Turner

Mike Turner has been an avid wheeler most of his life, it wasn’t until he purchased his 100 proof chassis from Derek, that things started to change. In 2010, Mike joined Trent Fab and started competing in the CalROCS series taking second place at most every event. In 2011, Turner took it up another notch. He entered into the Torchmate Stampede, where he qualified for a spot (13th) in the 2012 King of the Hammers. He will be competing in several different races this year. He has a tried and true rig with a good power plant. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for Mike!

Robb Kaufman

Robb is the newest member of the Trent Fab Racing team and has jumped into the sport feet first. Hailing from Airdrie, Alberta as the owner of a concrete cutting company, Robb had never had any seat time in a Ultra4 rig before his purchase of Derek Trents 151 Proof chassis and debut at CalROCS in May of 2011, and winning the season title.

Robb then competed in the Torchmate Ultra4 Stampede, but due to an unforeseen circumstance; He was unable to finish the race. This has not inhibited his spirit; he has made trips down here to prep the car, and will be making the trek to Johnson Valley for LCQ at KOH 2012.
